Who we are
NIVIS is a family-owned Managing General Agency (MGA), built on more than 45 years of experience in the insurance sector. It was founded by a team of experienced professionals who combined deep knowledge of the Greek insurance market with long-standing relationships with the international insurance community and the London market, where they held a Binding Authority even before the company was established.
Its journey began in February 2014 with the founding of NIVIS Insurance Brokers, aiming to build partnerships with leading Greek insurance companies and to represent international insurers as a Coverholder across a wide range of insurance lines. In 2019, this accumulated experience and network of partnerships became the foundation for NIVIS MGA, an organised and scalable platform for developing and distributing insurance products.
A further element that sets NIVIS apart is its management’s experience on the insurer’s side. One of its co-founders previously served as a shareholder of an insurance company, gaining substantial knowledge of underwriting, corporate governance, capital structure and regulatory compliance. This dual perspective allows NIVIS to approach the insurance market with a broader strategic view, combining intermediation expertise with an understanding of the needs and requirements of insurers themselves.
Today, NIVIS rests on clear governance principles, operational discipline and entrepreneurial flexibility, while keeping its family character and close relationships with its partners. With strong roots in the Greek market and an international outlook, it continues to grow with the aim of creating real value for insurers, insurance intermediaries and clients.
